Did you know 51% of people report being satisfied with their jobs, while 90% experience stress at work? In today’s ever-changing world, creating a healthy and happy working environment becomes far more a must than a mere luxury. Such an atmosphere promotes employee wellness, which is reflected in the organisation’s productivity.

When people feel secure in their working space, they are:

  • More engaged
  • More innovative
  • More loyal to the cause

Policies on inclusivity and accessibility should be advocated not just for legal compliance but also to promote cultural change toward environments in which all employees thrive. Founded in 2013, Kelp strives to convert workplaces into safe, joyful, and inclusive environments. Kelp considers employee well-being fundamental to organizational success and aspires to drive high standards of HR practices and overall performance.

Understanding the Pillars of a Happy Workplace
  • a) Safety and Trust

The well-being of the employees is related to emotional and physical safety. Of course, if employees feel safe in that environment, they will likely do well. Entering a harassment- and discrimination-free space brings the possibility that their concerns will be heard.

  • Compliance with PoSH plays a crucial role in sustaining a secure workplace culture.
  • This is not merely about following legal mandates but developing a culture of respect and accountability.

Kelp simplifies the legal complexity surrounding PoSH, providing organisations with the requisite tools and know-how for creating a safe and respectful workplace. Through compliance, awareness and sensitisation programs (in-person and e-learning) and proper handling of PoSH cases, Kelp ensures the workplace is nurturing for all employees.

  • b) Inclusivity and Belonging

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (D&I) are not only wonderful words; they are important cornerstones of a good, healthy workspace. When management genuinely shows respect for the unique competencies and backgrounds of its employees, morale and engagement increase.

  • Inclusive policies guarantee equal opportunity.
  • They foster a sense of belonging for everyone.

Kelp demystifies D&I, enabling organisations to create comprehensive strategies and roadmaps for building diverse and inclusive workplaces. From fostering inclusive policies to diversity awareness training, Kelp helps organisations honour unique strengths in different individuals, thus forming the basis for innovation and a positive corporate culture. Our experts are adept at educating and training employees on diversity, equity, and inclusion to foster open and honest communication.

  • c) Employee Well-being and Growth

Happy employees experience 79% lower burnout. It is inevitable that well-being and commitment to work reflect productivity. Employees thrive in engagement and performance when the organisation works towards their mental well-being regarding their careers.

Key requirements for a healthy work environment include:

  • Mental health support resources
  • Work-life balance
  • Opportunities for professional development
The link between employee well-being and sociality is necessary for Kelp to develop custom solutions for different organisational needs. Their Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) deal with the outpatient department of employees, caseload-wise, offering counselling benefits and other wellness purposes levelled to the end goals of enhancing resilience, productivity, and overall job satisfaction. Kelp also looks at improving the behavioural skills of teams to have a visible impact on achieving organisations’ soft-skill learning goals.
How Kelp Enables Happier Workplaces

Simplifying PoSH Compliance

Navigating the jungle of PoSH compliance can be quite daunting. Kelp educates the organisation on all legal mandates regarding clarity and guidance on compliance requirements. Kelp provides tools and posh training for employees so that their workplaces are harassment-free, thus avoiding the dent on credibility that may arise due to non-compliance and thus creating a better and safer work culture.

  • The trainers are KelpHR-empaneled subject matter experts, each with over twelve years of experience.

Demystifying D&I

When building truly inclusive cultures, tokenism is the easiest approach to take, but it’s also the wrong one. Kelp assists organisations with the design of D&I strategies based on establishing D&I as a core business function where it would be integrated into everything that happens in the organisation.

  • Kelp’s DEI courses and diversity awareness training create understanding and appreciation of differences, nurturing a culture of respect and belonging.

Wellness

90% of employees consider wellness offerings when evaluating potential employers, highlighting the need for supportive work environments.

  • Healthy employees are 25% more productive, linking wellness directly to workplace performance.

Kelp provides tailored solutions for various organisational issues, realising the connection between employee well-being and organisational success. Kelp’s EAPs address employees’ emotional and mental well-being by providing support mechanisms and counselling services.

Learning and Development

Kelp offers learning programs and workshops through which employees can be engaged and developed throughout their organisational lifecycle—from hiring to retirement. Kelp provides specially designed programs and workshops that integrate workplace competencies and DEI, in addition to the diversity-based programs aimed at creating equity and inclusivity for marginalised populations.

The Kelp Way: Practical Solutions That Work

Kelp has been improving safe, happy, and inclusive workplaces since 2013. Client testimonials and case studies demonstrate our impact.

  • One client remarked that the PoSH session was great and interactive, while many found it informative and engaging despite being on a virtual platform.
  • Another client reported on its three-year relationship with Kelp HR for e-commerce modules on POSH and IC Workshops, focusing on its well-designed and tailor-made modules and excellent assistance from Kelp.

The Kelp PoSH Awards® recognise organisations that surpass compliance to develop a workplace free from harassment, and credible and passionate judges determine the winners.
These results signify Kelp’s commitment to generating measurable positive changes in organisational culture.

Conclusion

Building a happier workplace can drive productivity and increase retention rate, thus contributing greatly to the overall success of organisations. Get in touch with our team to know more about our customisable solutions to realise happy, healthy, and inclusive workplaces.
