We went Global with our services, working with MNCs with significant prescense in India to achieve their safety and inclsuion goals.
Taking the internet by storm, we took our training and certification programs online and expanded our reach beyond the traditional office walls, making safety and inclusion awareness accessible to all.
Mental wellness became a key component of our services as we helped our clients frame and execute their wellness programs focussing on psychological safety and mindfulness.
Our CEO was awarded the Global Diversity recognition and we launched the PoSH Awards, recognizing those organizations who have innovated and driven workplace safety and respect beyond simple compliance.
Smita Shetty Kapoor, CEO & Co-Founder of Kelp, is a passionate and accomplished leader who,
when she saw a gap in how organizations created safe workplaces, decided to jump in,
head-first, to be a change agent.
She is the visionary behind Kelp’s strategy and success. From putting together a team comprised
primarily of women returning to the workforce, before it was a movement, she grew the business
and her team to one that is now synonymous with safety and inclusion and for driving PoSH
compliance across India. With over two decades of experience and expertise in the HR field, she
has handled the entire spectrum of the employee lifecycle, with specialized expertise in safety
and respect, diversity and inclusion, and mental wellness.
A post-graduate in HRD from NMIMS, she has worked with Fortune 500 companies in the IT, BFSI and
Automotive industries.
While acting as the CEO, Smita ensures that she stays connected with our core business, actively
serving over 30 organizations as an Internal Committee (IC) expert and investigator. She has been
featured and contributes to renowned news publications including the New Indian Express, The
Times of India, ET HR World, and HCM Excellence Magazine.

Smita is a dynamic and experienced DEI and Learning Consultant with a unique blend of academic expertise and practical application. With an MBA from the University of Mumbai and an M.Phil from the esteemed Tata Institute of Social Sciences, she is currently pursuing a PhD.
Smita brings with her over a decade and a half of experience across both academia and corporate training and has helped shape the learning journeys of professionals across industries. Her expertise spans human behaviour, training and development, research, and organizational diagnostics. Smita’s research has been showcased at prestigious institutions, including IIM Indore, IIM Bangalore, IIM Trichy, and Nirma University..
Passionate about fostering diversity and inclusion, Smita brings an engaging approach to training, blending research-driven insights with interactive methodologies. Beyond her professional commitments, she enjoys exploring new cultures and perspectives through travel, always seeking to broaden her understanding of the world.
Gomathi Venkatasubramanian is a seasoned client relations and strategy leader with over nine years of experience in sales, client engagement, and conflict resolution. As the Head of Client Relations, Gomathi and her team ensure that every Kelp client enjoys excellence in service delivery and engagement. With her vast product knowledge, Gomathi takes pride in being able to go beyond the call to action and provide innovative solutions and services to clients that align with their people and business goals.
Prior to Kelp, Gomathi worked with organizations across the sales and presales cycles thereby acquiring a deep understanding of the process and how to shift from a sales to a solutions mindset. That has helped her in honing her unique style in building client relations and trust.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Gomathi enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations, embracing different cultures and perspectives. She also finds solace in Indian music, which serves as a source of relaxation and inspiration.
