Our upcoming sessions in association with the Indian Lawyers Association will be a journey towards understanding of gender, sexuality and LGBTQIA+ rights under law. We will look at statutes and case laws that have developed in favour of the community.
A critical analysis of gender rights, questions of agency and self-determination will also be discussed. The above aspects will be placed within the workplace context, and we will discuss best practices. Our agenda for the session will include
1. Is there a legal basis for regulating identity and expression?
2. Who does the law protect?
The topic “Gender, Sexuality and LGBTQIA+ rights under the Law” will be covered by our panelists over two sessions.
