Sexual harassment at the workplace is a topic that is often swept under the carpet. Also it is presumed that only women are victims of sexual harassment, thereby obliterating the sexual harassment faced by LGBTQ+ persons both at workplace and in various public places. At this panel discussion we unpack PoSH (Prevention Of Sexual Harassment) to focus on experiences of lesbian and bisexual women, transpersons and non-binary persons.

Biographies of our Panel Members
Vinta Nanda
Former Director Ideation at Zee Network, filmmaker and writer Vinta Nanda is the editor of The Daily Eye, a media portal, and she’s directing a feature-length documentary on gender in India. She is also the Creative Director at ACEE and its flagship program The Third Eye. Vinta produced, directed and wrote television serials including Tara, Raahein, Raahat, Aur Phir Ek Din and Miilee. Her film, White Noise (2004), was screened at major International film festivals. Her Entertainment Education (EE) work includes the serials Sheila and Kasbah, feature film Anant, and Documentary The Distant Thunder. She’s member of Executive Committee at CORO India.
Nishtha Nishant (She/Her)
Nishtha is an out & proud Transwoman, an Equal Rights Activist, a TEDx speaker and a Scientific Research Scholar. She is currently working as an Assistant Manager for the Lab – Training, Learning & Development Department at Lilac Insights, New Mumbai. She has served the same organization as a Scientific Officer in the Genomics Department & as an Outreach Executive for an all-inclusive Mental Health platform named AtEase.
Nishtha calls herself as “Survivor of Gender based discrimination.”
Nishtha has spoken in several educational institutes such as – BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan; SRM University, Chennai and at workshops organized in the premises of corporations such as – Hindustan Unilever, BAYER, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Amazon, CEAT etc. For her activism on LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, Nishtha has received press coverage in various news publications, including an award from the Mumbai Police.
Archana Shetty (She / Her)
Archana Shetty is a Communications Manager at The Humsafar Trust with NETREACH – A Global Fund supported virtual outreach intervention project.
With over 10 years of experience as a communications professional in the fields of ecology, philanthropy, Biological sciences, education and currently HIV intervention; she believes Communications carries the scope to influence the prospect of organization, people and perception.
She holds a Master’s in International Relations from University of Sussex.
Machindra Kapare, PoSH Lawyer, Seasoned HR & legal professional
Machindra is a senior partner of the firm named as the “Dhamankar Kapare & Associates” and is a seasoned Human Resources & Legal professional. He has worked for more than 21 years out of which 15 years as a senior HR professional for Global MNC’s such as Tata Motors, SKF, Unilever, HSBC, Wal~Mart & J P Morgan before independently starting his law Firm. Today the Firm advises many Indian as well as Global MNC’s on various legal issues in the areas of Labour, Civil and Economic Offences. He has conducted more than 500 POSH trainings and awareness sessions across various industries in MNC and Indian organizations for Board of Directors, Leadership Teams, Sr. & Mid Management Employees, Supervisory and Managerial Staff, Exclusive programs for Women and Programs for Workmen and Unions.
Smita Shetty Kapoor (She / Her), CEO & Co-founder, KelpHR
Smita Shetty Kapoor is the CEO & Co-Founder of KelpHR and a subject matter expert.
